Studio Manager — Sunny Braids (San Juan, Puerto Rico)

We are looking for a Studio Manager to take full ownership of daily operations, team performance, and client experience inside the studio.
This is not a passive role. You will be responsible for making sure the business runs smoothly, clients are happy, and the team performs at a high level every single day. You will lead operations and support behind-the-scenes tasks to ensure the studio runs smoothly at a high standard.
What You’ll Own
1. Daily Operations
Open and close the studio on time
Keep all appointments running on schedule
Manage walk-ins, phone inquiries, and overall booking flow
Solve real-time issues (late clients, delays, reschedules)
Provide braiding services
2. Team Management
Primary is hiring and interviews
Supervise braiders during shifts
Enforce punctuality, dress code, and standards
Address lateness, call-outs, and attitude immediately
Coordinate scheduling and coverage
3. Client Experience
Maintain a 5-second greeting standard for every client
Monitor service quality and timing
Handle client concerns or complaints professionally
Maintain a clean, organized, premium studio environment
4. Performance & Accountability
Track daily appointments, revenue, and team output
Enforce speed and quality standards
Support upsells (add-ons, retail products) and rebookings
Report weekly performance to the owner
Review and submit employee timesheets
Track and purchase studio supplies
5. Systems & Communication
Manage scheduling tools (Acuity, Calendly, etc.)
Coordinate through WhatsApp team group for live updates
Keep operations aligned with company SOPs
Help implement and improve systems over time
6. Course Support & Studio Preparation
Confirm students before each course (attendance)
Prepare the training area before each session
Support the instructor during courses when needed
Wash mannequin heads thoroughly after each course
Air dry mannequin heads on the outdoor terrace
Reset and organize the space after each session
7. Phone & Inquiry Management
Answer incoming calls and messages promptly and professionally
Respond to client inquiries about services, pricing, and availability
Guide clients to book appointments (convert inquiries into bookings)
Follow up on missed calls and pending inquiries
Maintain a 100% response rate on all leads and inquiries

Requirements
2+ years of experience in management, operations, or team leadership
Experience in beauty, salon, or service-based business (preferred)
Available to work weekends (peak business days)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable using scheduling tools and basic tech systems
